Frequently Asked Questions
Photo Requirements
The UPSSSC PET requires:
- Dimensions: 3.5 cm (width) × 4.5 cm (height)
- File Size: 50 KB to 100 KB
- Format: JPEG/JPG only
- Background: Plain white or light-colored
- Quality: Clear, sharp, and properly lit
Our Guidelines page has more details with visual examples.
We strongly recommend against using selfies because:
- They often have inconsistent lighting and angles
- Backgrounds are rarely suitable
- Image quality is typically lower
- May appear unprofessional
Instead, have someone take your photo against a plain wall with good lighting, or visit a professional photo studio.
Yes, you can wear glasses in your UPSSSC PET photo, but with these conditions:
- No glare on the lenses
- Your eyes must be clearly visible
- No tinted glasses (clear lenses only)
- Frames shouldn't cover your eyebrows or eyes
If possible, we recommend photos without glasses to avoid potential issues.
Signature Requirements
Follow these steps for a proper digital signature:
- Sign with black ink on a blank white paper
- Use a scanner or smartphone camera to capture the image
- Ensure good lighting and no shadows
- Make sure the signature is clear and not cut off
- Use our tool to resize it to 3.5×1.5 cm
Never create a signature using fonts or digital drawing tools - it must be your actual handwritten signature.
If your signature becomes blurry:
- Start with a higher resolution original (scan at 300 DPI if possible)
- Use thicker ink when signing (try a bold pen)
- Ensure proper lighting when capturing the image
- Try our tool's "Enhance Signature" option during conversion
- If still unclear, recreate your signature with bolder strokes
Technical Issues
Common upload issues and solutions:
- File too large: Compress the image first (under 5MB recommended)
- Unsupported format: Convert to JPG/JPEG before uploading
- Slow internet: Try a better connection or smaller file
- Browser issues: Try Chrome/Firefox, clear cache, or disable extensions
- Server problems: Wait a few minutes and try again
If problems persist, contact our support team.
If the output doesn't meet UPSSSC PET requirements:
- Check if your original image meets our guidelines
- Try the "Advanced Options" to manually adjust quality
- For photos, ensure the composition is correct (face covering 70-80% of frame)
- For signatures, use thicker ink and rescan
- As a last resort, try a different original image
Our tool automatically optimizes for requirements, but extremely poor quality originals may not convert properly.
